Annual Meet-Your-Neighbor Party at Carla Anisman's lovely home was again a big success. A good time in a beautiful setting was enjoyed by all.
Annual Meeting was held on February 15, 2016. Minutes are posted on the Annual Meeting page.
Entry Landscaping Several residents have asked about the entry landscaping. A list of the drought and deer resistant plants is available here in PDF format.
Amendment of the CC&R's The required two-thirds approval was not received so both the CC&R amendment and the clause related to short-term rentals failed. On the subject of short-term rentals, the Town is exploring actions to take.
Children's Directory Because so many Woodside Hills children attend private schools, many of our families don't know how to locate or contact other children in our neighborhood. In the past, we have published a small booklet containing the names of school children (12th grade and younger) in our neighborhood. The update is in progress. If you have children under 17 and have not been contacted by the directory committee, please e-mail the web-master.
Contractor Signs Article 1, Section 1 of our CC&R's allows only Real Estate For Sale signs to be posted on Woodside Hills properties. Accordingly, homeowners should ask their contactors to not post signs when performing work on properties.
Identity Theft Alert At our 2004 Annual Meeting, an investigator from the San Mateo County District Attorney's office offered two excellent suggestions to avoid identity theft. First, he said you should never place out-going mail in your mailbox for the letter carrier to pick up. This is just too tempting of a target for mail thieves. Second, when replacing your current mail box, consider getting a locking mailbox. Better be safe than sorry.
